Understanding Spiritual Gifts and Graces | Part 2

The New Testament presents a Church that is empowered by the Holy Spirit and equipped with spiritual gifts and graces for the work of ministry.

Students will examine the biblical distinctions and relationships between natural talents, learned skills, spiritual gifts, and divine graces or empowerments. Training will address the biblical gifts of the Spirit, their purposes, their operation within the believer, and their function within the local church.

Emphasis will also be placed upon the need for gifts to operate within the boundaries of Scripture, love, maturity, accountability, order, character, and proper spiritual authority.

Students should be able to identify and explain the biblical purpose of spiritual gifts and graces, recognize areas of gifting within their own lives, and understand how those gifts should be developed and exercised responsibly for the edification of the Church.
