Understanding the Call of God | Part 1

This area of training examines the biblical meaning and responsibility of being called by God. Students will learn to distinguish between personal desire, spiritual gifting, opportunity, and a genuine call to ministry. Attention will also be given to recognizing, accepting, developing, and faithfully stewarding one’s calling.

Students will examine the relationship between calling, preparation, character, process, sacrifice, accountability, submission, and service. Particular emphasis will be placed upon understanding that being called does not eliminate the need to be trained, tested, developed, and proven.

Students should develop a clearer understanding of their ministerial calling and recognize the responsibility, preparation, character, discipline, and accountability required to steward that calling faithfully.
