The Call to Ministry is not a badge of elitism, but a spiritual summons to actively advance the Kingdom of God through partnership with your local church. As a ministerial candidate, we trust that by completing this course, you have gained a clear understanding that the call demands greater servitude, accountability, and adaptability. 

At some point, you will be asked this question:

Will you be loyal to your local church, accepting its order, liturgy, doctrine, and discipline; defending it against all doctrines contrary to God's Holy Word; and committing yourself to be accountable to those serving with you, and to the Apostolic government and those who are appointed to supervise your ministry?

The formal response: I will, God being my helper.

****Essay Instructions:****

Write a formal essay in response to the question above. In your essay, you must:

- Identify your spiritual gifts. If you do not know them, click the link to complete the gifts test. 

- In your own words, describe your two most dominant spiritual gifts. 

- Describe how you will use your gifts to serve your local church.

- Explain the importance of spiritual accountability.

- Reference the “Unit 1 - Understanding the Call of God” and “Unit 2 - Understanding Spiritual Gifts and Graces” material.

- Content requirement:

Use appropriate formal language, 3-5 paragraphs (including an introduction and conclusion) or 2-2.5 pages in length(excluding the title and reference pages).

- APA formatting requirements:

Title page, reference page, double-spaced paragraphs, 1-inch margins, and 12-point Georgia or Times New Roman font.
